The Mission

Are you an experienced Ruby on Rails developer based in the United Kingdom? Are you looking to join a thriving fintech company that is globally recognized and trusted? Look no further!

B4B Payments, a leading provider of card issuing and payment services, is seeking a Senior Ruby on Rails Developer to join their dynamic and product-led dev team. With over 15 years of expertise in payments and now part of the Banking Circle group of companies, B4B Payments offers an exciting opportunity to work on their global payments platform.

As a Senior Ruby on Rails Developer at B4B Payments, you will have the opportunity to bring your enthusiasm and energy to work every day. Working closely with a product lead, you will play a crucial role in delivering accurate, reliable, and performant solutions. Your responsibilities will include implementing new features, taking ownership of the software development lifecycle, providing feedback, and mentoring your peers.

To succeed in this role, you should have senior/principal level Rails developer experience with live Rails projects and a strong knowledge of the Rails tech stack. The ability to work in a product-led environment and a commitment to quality throughout the software development lifecycle are also important. Additionally, experience in handling large data sets in a transactional financial services environment is highly desirable.

If you have experience working in fintech, the payments industry, or with payment cards, that's even better! B4B Payments values experience in regulated and/or PCI-compliant companies with high availability and security requirements.

In terms of our tech stack, we work with Rails, MySQL, and Linux. We also utilize AWS ECS, Fargate, Lambda, Ansible, Terraform, as well as AppSignal and Papertrail.

In return for your skills and expertise, B4B Payments offers a competitive salary ranging from £70,000 to £95,000 per year, depending on your experience. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to work from anywhere in the UK. However, if you prefer an office setting, you have the option to work from either our London or Newcastle office. We also provide stock option incentives, 33 days of paid holiday (including public holidays), preferential health insurance rates, access to a cycle-to-work scheme, and an annual expenses-paid meetup with the entire tech team in a European city for fun challenges and socializing.

Join B4B Payments and be part of our internationally recognized and successful fintech company. With our remote work culture and emphasis on communication, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with a talented team distributed across the UK, Europe, and the US. Don't miss this permanent role that offers exciting growth opportunities and the chance to make an impact in the world of corporate payment services.

Apply now and take the next step in your career as a Senior Ruby on Rails Developer with B4B Payments!
